Spa Day

Legacy had a "spa day". She got her "hair and nails" done along with a good massage/grooming. Washed her mane and tail, trimmed both up then the farrier came and did her feet. He couldn't get over how shiny she is. I'm happy to say that is an all natural glow from her daily cup of black oil sun flower seeds, a half cup of Platinum Performance along with a mixture of Strategy Healthy Edge and Nutrena SafeChoice.

Being an adult isn't fun!

And I often wonder why I had to grow up. I mean being a kid was sooo much better. No bills, no responsibly, I had all the time in the day to do whatever I please, whenever I pleased. //SIGH//

I'm not to good at this update thing. The last few days have been countless trips to Home Depot to buy things for the new house. We got two awesome toilets installed and I LOVE the both of them! I never thought I would like a shitter so much!

American Standard Champion 4 Complete No Tools Right Height 2-Piece Elongated Toilet in White.
It says it could flush a bucket of golf balls and damn I do believe it would, maybe even more. It is oh so silent too.

Two days ago I contacted the roofer that my Realtor uses. He came out and we signed papers. Work is supposed to start tomorrow* but we are going to have 40mph winds tonight and into tomorrow, so I am not holding my breath on that. Also I'm in dire need to find someone to repair our swamp coolers on the house as they both need a good cleaning, new pads, and to get back up and working again. BLAH! Money... it is now flying out of my bank account. YUCK! And this is why I say I wish I was a kid again. I never worried about the roof over my head, the AC, or even if I had a good working shitter.

I need to go ride my horse, need some time away and to myself.
Here are the three rides we did so far at this new house. :)

This one was the first outing, we didn't go to far as I wasn't sure what was out there and she hadn't been ridden in a few weeks.

The second day out, I just wanted to ride and ride and ride till I got lost. Thankfully for Art Bell's antennas that surround his property, I can't really "get lost", as I just need to look around for a minute and see those antennas high up in the air. Good thing for a homing beckon as I am horrible with N,S,E,W and directions in general.

For our third ride, we got adventurous! It was a great laid back ride! I may go and do it again today. =)

My yard, it needs water!

Spending my Saturday watering every tree, shrub and cactus on my property. They all need some TLC. Hope I can bring a few of them back around. You know it is bad when the cactus are dying and drying up. EEEK! Horse manure will be coming in handy and I sure have a steady supply of it. LOL :)

And the real update....

We moved in on March 15th when all the settlement paper work was over and done with... THANK GOD! I NEVER want to move again... EVER! But I once again own my own house, no mortgage!!! Cash sales are so nice and easy. We found this house on March 5th, put in an offer which got accepted right away, got a home inspection done which showed that the house not only needed some roof repairs which we could tell right off the bat but an entire new roof, so we went back to the sellers and asked if they would accept even a lower amount on an offer, which they were happy to accept. Thankfully it was a really old lady who lived here before with her hubby. Sadly her hubby recently passed away and she couldn't bare to live here by herself any longer so she moved to Cali with her son and family. So all in all she just wanted to get rid of this house which was just great for us.

We ended up paying 40K for this house. It is an acre of land with a rancher type house. It has two full bathrooms, three bed rooms, a living room/dining room combo, along with an actual dining room, along with a kitchen, and a laundry room. Also on the third bed room, they added an addition on to the house and made a hot tub room, which the hot tub too was included in the sale of the house. It has a garage which is huge, but has two big work rooms attached to it, along with two smaller rooms attached to it as well. I turned one of the smaller rooms into my tack room. :) So over all the house along with all the garage spaces, it totals to over 4000SQF. So freaking nice too! It's an older home but kept in great shape and kept clean. Oh man the cleaning supplies we have been finding. WOW!

Moved in, again

We found a new house and bought it. Bigger house, on an acre, for 15k cheaper then the last house we were trying to buy. Moved in last Wednesday, still unpacking. I have been out riding a bit as there are next to no feral dogs on this end of town and a lot more riding areas. Pictures and such to come. Got internet back yesterday, need to veg out to it. :)

Equestrian volunteers in the field

Had such a great day doing volunteer trail work up at Kyle Canyon! What an amazing, breathtaking sight and rewarding time. I now can't wait to be able to ride out there!

What a wonderful showing for our first “equestrian volunteers in the field” outing. This group (of 29) did so much more than USFS was expecting and we still got back in time to watch the ending of the first championship game. Thank you for coming out and confirming what we have been telling the community, “the equestrians not only will voice our needs, we will help to build and maintain the trails we ride”. For our future and our children’s future.
