Cedar Hollow; Uinta Mountain Range Ride

Our Cedar Hollow ride way amazing as well!

Cobre' stayed over Linda's Saturday night and Sunday morning she loaded Donny and Cobre' up and headed out to my barn to pick me up at 8 am, as it was in the direction we needed to go.
We made it up to Patti and Jerry's by about 9:20. The boys were put out in a paddock, while we all drank coffee out on their patio and watched the hummingbirds at the feeders. We chatted and chatted. Patti started to make breakfast which was crepes with some homemade filling of cream cheese, cottage cheese, and something else. Put some strawberry preserves on them and OMG it was amazing! I stuffed myself silly on them.  After letting our food settle for a bit, Diane was ready to be picked up, so we gathered up the horses, threw them in the trailers, and hit the road to her house (around the corner).

We picked her and her "Barbie horse" up (you'll see...) and hit the actual road. It was a gorgeous drive and the rivers were almost overflowing and gushing due to all the warm weather we've had, in return has made the snow in the mountain melt a lot fast than normal.

We finally got onto Cedar Hollow Road and as soon as we turned in, off to the right, right past the cattle guard was a dead and partly skeletal horse. I still wonder why no one had come by and cleaned it up. It was rather gross. Up and up and up the road we climbed and finally we got to the big field where it's great for trailers to park.

We unloaded the horses and oddly enough, Cobre' was a sweat ball, dripping wet again. Linda and I were perplexed as to what in his head makes him freak out... UNTIL I tied him to the trailer and noticed his front left knee was covered in poop. That's odd I thought, how did he get poop on his front knee? That's when I then noticed his whole left side was covered in poop. HOLY SHIT! I about freaked now knowing that my poor horse somehow fell in the trailer. He seemed fine and relaxed and we tacked up.

We hit the trail and it was simply gorgeous! No bugs, no wind, sunshine, and blue skies.

I love how I can just drop the reins at any given time and shoot my camera

At this point poor Linda was not having a good ride with Donny, he was being a "cantering in place butt head" to put it nicely. So she needed us to leave her so she could have a one on one ride back with him. So we went back on to camp without her, Rowdy came with us while Jude stayed with her.

I had to wait for Linda to get back to camp, as the trailer was locked up, so Cobre', Rowdy, and I just rode around camp waiting, while the others untacked their horses and set snacks up.

Patti said "We'll wait 20 minutes and if she isn't back, we're going to go find them!" and thankfully not 5 minutes later, they came back over the trail hill! Rowdy ran up to greet them and on the way up, some little kid went running after him from that truck. Rowdy swerved away from the kind like "OH HELL NO!" We all got a good laugh out of that.
